Product Description
Carbon steel is an iron carbon alloy with carbon content ranging from 0.0218% to 2.11%. Also called carbon steel. Generally also contains a small amount of silicon, manganese, sulfur, phosphorus. The higher the carbon content in the general carbon steel, the greater the hardness, the higher the strength, but the lower the plasticity. Low carbon steel (C:50.25%), also known as mild steel, low carbon steel is easy to accept a variety of processing such as forging, welding and cutting. Medium carbon steel (0.25% < CS0.6%), there are killed steel, semi-killed steel, boiling steel and other products. High carbon steel (C: > 0.6%), often used as a tool steel, with carbon content from more than 0.60 to 1.70%, can be hardened and tempered.
Carbon steel coil is made from slabs (mainly continuous cast slabs), which are heated and then made into strips by roughing and finishing mills. The hot steel strip from the last finishing mill is cooled to the set temperature by laminar flow and rolled into coils by a coiler. The cooling coils are processed into steel sheets, flat coils, and slit strip products through different finishing lines according to the different needs of customers.
