Stainless steel wire drawing (stainless steel wire drawing) is a metal plastic processing process in which the wire rod or wire blank is pulled out from the die hole of the wire drawing die under the action of drawing force to produce small section steel wire or non-ferrous metal wire. Various metals and alloys of different section shapes and sizes of wire can be produced by drawing. The drawn wire has precise size, smooth surface, and simple drawing equipment and mold used, and is easy to manufacture.
316 and 317 stainless steel (317 stainless steel properties see below) are molybdenum containing stainless steel. The molybdenum content of 317 stainless steel is slightly higher than that of 316 stainless steel. Due to the molybdenum in the steel, the overall performance of the steel is better than 310 and 304 stainless steel, under high temperature conditions, when the concentration of sulfuric acid is lower than 15% and higher than 85%, 316 stainless steel has a wide range of uses. 316 stainless steel also has good resistance to chloride erosion, so it is usually used in Marine environments. With a maximum carbon content of 0.03, 316L stainless steel can be used in applications where annealing cannot be performed after welding and where maximum corrosion resistance is required.
